– 4-6 weeks later, you’ll be reminded that the book’s release date is approaching. That would be a good time to start reading if you haven’t already. - Release Day
– Notice that the book has launched, and a request to submit honest reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, and any additional platforms you choose. - Final Request
– 1-2 weeks after release, if you haven’t yet reviewed the book, you’ll receive a final request to do so.
Rules
In order to receive a paperback, you must live in the United States. Readers from elsewhere in the world are welcome to request ebooks.
Reviews should be honest. Most sites use a scale of 1-5 stars:
- ★★★★★ (Loved it)
- ★★★★ (Liked it)
- ★★★ (It was fine)
- ★★ (Disliked it)
- ★ (Hated it)
Vote the way you actually feel.
Important: You are under no obligation to review any book. However, those who are consistently unresponsive may be removed from the ARC list.
Review Format
Make sure your review has a headline and at least 20 words of review text.
Please include one of the following lines somewhere in your review (typically at the bottom):
- “I received an ARC for an objective review.”
- “This review was based on a complimentary pre-release copy.”
- “I received a copy of this book from the publisher and am reviewing it voluntarily.”
Example Reviews
I Hated Everything About This
Every word of this book felt like a personal attack. I received an ARC for an objective review, and the publisher probably regrets that now.
I Didn’t Know Books Could Be This Good
I received a copy of this book from the publisher and am reviewing it voluntarily.
When I opened this book, a chorus of angels emerged and sang to me. From that moment on, I was hooked.
